Fire 2007

Last week the Fire 2007 conference came to Perth. A few days of interesting and not so interesting presentations followed by a big dinner to raise money for the Jack Dunn foundation. We had an Arup table which was just as well, as none of us were in the mood to entertain and behave! Kelly, swears that the white powder her mum gave her is talcomb powder to stop her dress sticking to her....mmmmmm........

Survivor Day

On 12th October the office packed up and headed down to the river for the Arup Survivor Day! Yes another team building junkit but turned out to be a fun day and damn well beat sitting behind the desk. The red team had a flying start obtaining the first three immunities, however we peaked early and by the end were an unrespectable 3rd from bottom.

Free drinks flowed at the bar, followed by some moves ont he dance floor before heading back to someones house to crack open the tequila. As you can see from some of the pics a few people who will remian nameless took things a touch far....

Kalbarri

Last week Karen and I headed north for a 6 hour drive to the coastal town of Kalbarri at the mouth of the Murchisen River.

The weather was warm and sunny, and we enjoyed a week of relaxation, canoeing, sailing, fishing and drinking!
