My new pet

Found this outside my window today....only inches from my face - fortunately on the other side of the fly screen. It's a female Redback

Got some pics before giving it a good dose of "hav sum of that!!"...which it didn't particularly like.





Needless to say it scared the crap out of me - definately a real sense of feeling 'alive'!

Well finally got to see something that could kill me up close and personal! Previous to that I had a white-tip spider visit - apparently there bite only eats the skin away like an ulcer...phew!

The Ashes 2006 - Perth Test

The third Ashes test has made it to Perth, and I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the 3rd day at the WACA.

I went with some friends from work to watch the boys defend their title. In the end I watched an Aussie batting masterclass, with 3 tons and the second fastest century ever scored, supplied by the unpredictable Ghilcrist.

Was a great atmosphere, which was slightly dulled by the oppressive heat, and melted the spirits slightly. Here are a few shots from the day out....
